Welland Viaduct

The viaduct as seen from the road near Seaton. Photograph taken on a walk in July 2013. It was built between 1876 and 1878 and consists of 82 arches, each with a 40 foot span. It is the longest masonry viaduct across a valley in Britain.

More info here.

The drawing is from a place close to where the photograph was taken, but not identical. The angle of the viaduct is drawn a bit too steeply.  (24 July 2016). I had fun with the trees.

Here is a photo I took when I drew the viaduct, zoomed in a bit!
