Kirby Hall selection

Kirby Hall was built in the hope of receiving Queen Elizabeth I on her annual ‘progresses’ around the country. it was begun in 1570 by Sir Humphrey Stafford, and completed by Sir Christopher Hatton. It is now in the care of English Heritage.

It’s very near to where we live, and as we’ve joined EH we can visit for the odd hour or so whenever we wish.
